Why I Started This Business

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my company. ClearView Sun Control Inc officially opened its doors in 2001. I started my venture in this business in 1994 as an installer for Security Film catering to the Residential Market. I quickly worked my way up to Trainer/Lead Installer. I was installing solar and decorative films for many of the large skyscrapers in the San Francisco Bay Area for quite some time. I acquired my contractor's license 02/07/2000 and worked independently ever since. Working with many different installers was a turning point for me.

The main reason I decided to start my own company was out of frustration. I had the unique opportunity to work with many different dealer's all over California and I quickly learned that many (not all) dealers weren't in this business for the right reason's, or the reason's I thought they should be. The philosophy was always quantity over quality (although never stated in writing of course), pitching consumer's a common name brand product even if there are other brands that will suit them better (usually because of contractual restrictions) and squeeze out competitors with a max/min theory (maximum volume with lowest delivery costs via lower paid unqualified Installers). Most were not focused, stretched out too thin (taking on far distance projects), offering too many products and services while expecting too much from their employees. You'll find with some research, this continues even today with many of our competitors. Although this approach has worked for many, after all, its kept many larger dealers in business for over 20 or more years, it's just not how we approach our business.

Prior to our opening, in my opinion, the Window Film market was in desperate need of change. We recognized an enormous opportunity for our customers.

Keeping It Simple & Focused

Today ClearView Sun Control, Inc is known as the 'local' experts on Glass Retrofit Solutions. This entails installing a Film product to glass specifically designed to enhance the performance or aesthetics for Fade Reduction, Glare, Heat, Safety and Decorative purposes. This is what we do, actually, it's the only thing we do. While competitor's in addition to Window Film offer anything from Garage Floor Enhancements, D.I.Y. products, Vehicle Wraps to Shoe Shine's, we simply focus 100% of our attention to the installation of Professional Window Film for the Residential and Commercial sector.

We Don't Sell Products, We Sell Solutions!

Clearview was the first to introduce non-reflective Ceramic Films (German Technology) to the Greater Los Angeles in 2001. Ever since that day on August 1 we never lost site of who we are and kept true to our expertise and limitations . We offer solutions to your glass related issues. We were also the first to offer an online bidding tool.

We're purposely small in numbers but big in service. We value ourselves as a company with high integrity and expertise.

It starts with educating our customers because we firmly believe a smart customer is our most valuable customer.

Our reputation and professional relationships define our success, you can expect fair, well informed problem solving solutions and friendly service throughout. We're not your typical cookie cutter company, I believe with a specialty service such as Window Film Consulting and Installation, it requires 10 plus years of on-the-job experience with all types of products with a pro-consumer approach but a positive personality with the right mix of natural talent make a world of difference in this type of work. You will have an experienced technician meet with you for your initial consultation, and that technician will perform your installation. This includes myself!

Consultation: This is were that hands on knowledge and experience really shines through, not too mention access to the worlds most sought after 'premium' products to choose from. We'll figure out which solution will work best with your budget, environment and lifestyle.

Performance: Wouldn't you like the opportunity to interview your installer? Is this person really qualified, could you trust this person to work in your home or business? You'll have that chance with us because our consultant is your installer. Clearview is arguably the most referred company by manufacturer and distributor in the Greater Los Angeles area. After all, they want you to have the best experience so you can hopefully tell your friends and neighbors about their products.

Delivery: This means taking care of our customers, investing in your interests. That's why we're still the only Premium Warranty Dealer in town. It also means personalized service such as access to my personal cell number.

Miss one of these then you miss the bulls eye, but I've painfully learned that not everyone aims for the bulls eye, we do!

Our consultants are actual technicians, we are one of the same here, just one small difference that makes a big impact to what we're all about!

Custom Solution's

One product alone surely can't be the holy grail of them all. Our core belief system states that we are a service-based business, not product-based. That's why we continue to research our industry, and update our web-site on a daily basis. As new products come along, we're always here to keep you informed. If a new product meets our specific requirements, we'll include it in our product offerings. Our staff is trained to tackle your issue's in an unbiased fashion and solve it, no matter what it takes.

We don't do business with Vendors (Distributor's and Window Film Manufacture's) that insist in unreasonable contractual terms that require dealers to only offer Window Film products through them exclusively, a common and unfortunate method. This bullying tactic goes against our Core Belief System and it's not in the best interest of our customers, period! Call it common sense perhaps?
