Why I Started This Business

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my company. ClearView Sun Control Inc officially opened its doors in 2001. I started my venture in this business in 1994 as an installer for Security Film catering to the Residential Market. I quickly worked my way up to Trainer/Lead Installer. I was installing solar and decorative films for many of the large skyscrapers in the San Francisco Bay Area for quite some time. I acquired my contractor's license #774678 on 02/07/2000 and worked independently ever since. Working with many different installers was a turning point for me.

The main reason I decided to start my own company was out of frustration. I had the unique opportunity to work with many different dealer's all over California and I quickly learned that many (not all) dealers weren't in this business for the right reason's, or the reason's I thought they should be. The philosophy was always quantity over quality (although never stated in writing of course). Most were not focused, stretched out too thin (taking on far distance projects), offering too many products and services while expecting too much from their employees. You'll find with some research, this continues even today with many of our competitors. Although this approach has worked for many, after all, its kept many larger dealers in business for over 20 or more years, it's just not how we approach our business.

Prior to our opening, in my opinion, the Window Tinting market was in desperate need of change. We recognized an enormous opportunity for our customers.

Keeping It Simple & Focused

Today ClearView Sun Control, Inc is known as the 'local' experts on Glass Retrofit Solutions. This entails installing a Film product to glass specifically designed to enhance the performance or aesthetics for Fade Reduction, Glare, Heat, Safety and Decorative purposes. This is what we do, actually, it's the only thing we do. While competitor's in addition to Window Film offer anything from Garage Floor Enhancements, D.I.Y. products, Vehicle Wraps to Shoe Shine's, we simply focus 100% of our attention to the installation of Professional Window Film for the Residential and Commercial sector.

We don't do business with Vendors (Distributor's and Window Film Manufacture's) that insist in unreasonable contractual terms that require dealers to only offer Window Film products through them exclusively, a common and unfortunate method. This bullying tactic goes against our Core Belief System and it's not in the best interest of our customers, period! Call it common sense perhaps?
